As for the typeface, from all the choices you've shown, I would suggest something that is not too skinny but also not too bulky sans serif-ish. I also think it's due to the blending - or lack thereof - that makes it a bit out of place.

Try simple blending options e.g. outer glow, etc. Then maybe give it a bit of gaussian blur. Or maybe even brush the font here and there. Or some soft smooth gradient color on the font. Something. Anything.
